Steps to be followed for generating XLIFF files:

Basic requirement: The XML Publisher should be installed in the system.

1. Create the RTF
2. Open the RTF in Microsoft Word.
3. From the Template Builder menu

                               Go to Tools -> Translate Template -> Extract text

4. Save the file with .xlf extenstion.

               Ex : XXMI_PURVATENG_fr_FR.xlf

                     The file should be named as

                                 <Template_name>_<Language code>_<Territory code>.xlf

5. Open the generated XLF file in either XML Editor or Textpad
6. The target language should be changed.

The target language should be changed to desired language and territory code.

Ex :

 Language code: fr

 Territory code: FR

7.  Change the prompts in the target to the required language.

8. Upload the XLF file in the instance.

·         Create the Data definition

·         Create the Template definition

·         Upload the RTF file with Translatable option enabled.

·         Click on Upload Translation

·         Select the translatable file to be uploaded and click on Apply.

·         The XLF file uploaded can be either enabled or disabled.

The Language and the Territory for the translatable file will the target language and the target territory.

9. Submit the concurrent program with the required template language.

Following are the details of the Concurrent program:

1. Concurrent Program name: TEST_XLIFF_REP

2. Data Definition: TEST_XLIFF_REP

3. Template Definition: TEST_XLIFF_REP

4. Request Group: All Reports

5. Responsibility: Payables Manager

6. Instance: VIS
