GL Module With Screen Shots

1 ) Navigation for creating KEY FLEXFIELD SEGMENTS:

1) Click on Segments.
2) After that press Ctrl F11 and press down arrow key.
3) Then go to file menu and click new.
4) Put company code, title, description and view name.
5) Then click on segments.
6) In segments summary menu put number, name, window prompt, column, viz.
Segments like Company, Department, Account, Inter Company, etc
7) Also put some reserved Segments for future planning.

8) Click on Value set and assign it for each Segments prefixing structure code.
9) Change the formats according to requirement, i.e. In case of company keep size to
2 and click on Uppercase only and Right Justify with min, 0 to max 99 in case of
size of 2 digits.
10)Keep value validations to Independent.

11)There is no need to have Value sets for Inter Company.
12)Close the Value Sets window and goto Value set column in Segments Summary.
13)Assign the respective Value set to segments by pressing co. code with %.
14)No need to attach value set for reserved and intercompany. For Intercompany
attach company value set.
15)Now your Segment Summary is READY.
